Bare Trees

Bare trees is taken from a drawing I made at 59th and Park Ave. on the evening of March 29th 2006. Slightly flowering trees were glowing with the warm light from retail complexes in the distance. Their branches were arched and receded forming architectural structures that were half nature, half modern megalith.

Bare trees and warm light fused together on a cold, late afternoon early evening especially in an urban setting has taken up residence in my collection of life’s wonderful places. It’s inspired a whole collection of things growing a life of it’s own in this show of recent work.
